I was born Grace Michiko Capps in Oconee County, Upstate South Carolina, daughter of Navy man Homer Capps and Miyoko Suzuki of Numazu City, Japan. Being in a military family, I enjoyed childhood years in California, Puerto Rico and Florida but beautiful South Carolina is the place I call home. I earned a Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Performance from Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina and after college, spent several years singing jingles, teaching fitness classes and waitressing until I landed my long-time job at Sundown Sound Studios. There, I was introduced to the wonderful world of voiceovers and after twelve years, left to pursue a career as a full-time freelance professional voice artist. With decades in this business, I truly understand and appreciate the privilege of voicing for a living. I take pride in performing to the best of my ability, every day, in every session, for every client.
